Image of city cycle paths: an example of the Prague cycle route Zbraslav-centrum Abstract This study aims to contribute to a discussion on the role of cycle paths in shaping the image of the Prague city. It compares well-established cycle paths in foreign agglomerations with a model cycle path in Prague. Bicycle paths present a phenomenon both in Prague and throughout the Czech Republic, the use of which has an increasing tendency and has a potential to positively shape the image of cities. Some Prague cycle paths are developed well and some insufficiently. We also identify the positive impact of cycle paths on urban infrastructure. In the theoretical part, the work deals with a search of adequate literature and also with experience with thematically similar studies abroad. In the practical part, the presented bachelor's thesis analyzes a contribution of the A2 cycle path to building a better image of the city. We believe that this study will help draw attention to yet underestimated part of the transport infrastructure and will bring an inspiration for planning and further development of Prague.
